Pitti Immagine has officially announced Dunhill as the Guest Designer for Pitti Immagine Uomo 111, taking place in Florence from January 12 to 15, 2027. The highlight of the schedule will take place on the evening of Thursday, January 14, 2027, when the British luxury house will present its Autumn/Winter 2027-28 collection in a special catwalk show created by creative director Simon Holloway.

An Anglo-Florentine Dialogue

Dunhill's selection celebrates a deep cultural connection dating back to the days of the Grand Tour, when British artists and aristocrats journeyed through Italy in search of artistic inspiration. This long-standing relationship between Britain and Florence stems from a shared reverence for classical beauty and fine craftsmanship, values that align naturally with the world Alfred Dunhill built. Under the creative direction of Simon Holloway, the house brings this dialogue to life by balancing the discipline and restraint of traditional English tailoring with the artistic grace and effortless elegance of Florentine style. “In this Anglo-Florentine exchange lies an enduring love affair,” said Simon Holloway, creative director of Dunhill. “The centuries-old bond between the British and the city of Florence was born from a shared passion for artistic expression, craftsmanship, and classicism, an attitude that resonates deeply with the universe of Alfred Dunhill.”

“Bringing Dunhill to Florence means celebrating a timeless and profound dialogue between British sartorial excellence and Florentine culture,” noted Francesca Tacconi, Special Events Manager at Pitti Immagine. “It is a natural, organic partnership that honors shared heritage, artistic rigor, and craftsmanship while actively shaping the evolving narrative of global menswear.”

From Motorities to Contemporary Menswear

Founded in London in 1893 by Alfred Dunhill, the house originated as a specialist provider of motoring accessories and apparel, giving rise to the iconic concept of Motorities. Over more than a century, Dunhill has built a reputation rooted in functionality, craftsmanship, and timeless style, guided by its founder’s core principle: “Must be useful, must work dependably, must be beautiful, must last.” Today, Dunhill is the ultimate reference for English menswear, bringing the same spirit of ingenuity to timeless English style and exceptional craftsmanship. Closely connected to its heritage, the House creates clothes, leather goods and hard luxury for men of character, celebrating craftsmanship, invisible innovation and the most exceptional materials.
