Founded in 2012 with presence in New York, Paris and Tokyo. The contemporary and international trade show Man/Woman will include a new salon approach that introduces selected women’s pre-collections alongside the menswear collections at its next show in Paris on June 22 to 24. The company is combining the men’s and women’s calendar for the Man/Woman spring-summer 19 show. Through confirmation of the growing demand in the women’s pre-collections category from brands, buyers and department stores that trade within international markets. The buyers that attend the men’s week in June, of which 70 percent are both menswear and womenswear buyers, this mixed platform will result in maximizing the relationship between the buyers and brands explains Man/Woman co-founders Antoine Floch and Oliver Migda. The team working behind this project have identified and experienced problems in the current calendar, finding that the end of year shows struggle because the buyers, department stores, purchasing offices and multi-brand independent retailers have less overall budget to spend, explains Olivier Sudre, newcomer and consultant on the Man / Woman team. Man/Woman recognizes the changes in the market this approach will give brands an opportunity to sell earlier in the season and allows for a longer time for sales and deliveries.
