The winners of the Tokyo Fashion Award 2020 were announced on the 19th of October, in the capital of Japan, during Rakuten Fashion Week TOKYO.

This year, Re:quaL≡, meanswhile, YUKI HASHIMOTO, IHNN, SHOOP and FUMIE TANAKA were honoured as the six winners. from the 16 to 21st of January 2020, during Paris Men’s Fashion Week FW20/21, the winners will present their collections at showroom.tokyo. The Tokyo Fashion Award’s will also exhibit this year’s 6 Tokyo Fashion Award (TFA) winners brands at the famous trade show held in Florence, Pitti Immagine Uomo from the 7 to 10 of January, 2020.

The Tokyo Fashion Award is a newly introduced type of fashion prize which selects 6 fashion brands from Tokyo each year investing in the brands potential to grow within the international market, further supporting the brands overseas expansion. The goal is to promote Japanese creativity on an international level. The Tokyo Fashion Award was launched by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government. In addition, the showroom provides an opportunity to network with international buyers.
