Established in 2017, HA KI MO NO is an organization that brings together different brands specialized in transmitting Japanese footwear know-how, between tradition and innovation.
Hakimono, translated from Japanese, literally means “things walking with your feet”, which could be interpreted as things which people put on their feet to walk, or shoes.

Since it became difficult to maintain the quality of technology and ancient traditions because of the effects of the birthrate decrease and intensifying international competition, causing economic problems in Japan. To encourage and develop the Japanese industry of leather footwear, the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) decided to relaunch this sector by making it competitive and promoting it internationally.

Within this project, 12 brands - Hiroshi Kida, H. KATSUKAWA, HARUTA, Johnny & Jessy, KANPEKINA, Kyoto Sasage, Lafeet, MIYAGI KOGYO, NUMERO UNO, REGAL, RFW and U.No.5 present their collection on Joor.com and MAN WOMAN online platform from 1st October 2020 to 28th February 2021.
