The Salone del Mobile confirmed is planning to take place this year with a hybrid format. In particular, the 59th edition of the show, organized by the Italian industry association Federlegno Eventi, will run in September, from 5 to 10, 2021.
The furniture and interior design trade show, which is considered the most important event in Milan, will be held at the Fiera Milano exhibition centre outside the city with the presence of national and international exhibitors, while through a digital platform the companies could stay in touch with buyers and visitors that are not able to attend in person.

I’m confident that thanks to the support received by institution and first and foremost by Italy’s president Sergio Mattarella and the government in addition to the willingness of the companies to contribute to the success of the event, we will be able to plan an internationally innovative and attractive edition of the Salone,” commented Gianfranco Marinelli, president of FLA Eventi SpA.

The decision was down to a team effort that will allow us to organize a special edition, as unique is the period we are experiencing. We won a great challenge, offering companies big and small that represent the backbone of the design sector the best window to showcase the Made in Italy and international excellences,” said Claudio Feltrin, president of Federlegno Arredo. “After such a lengthy period of physical and social distancing in every sphere, we would like to be able to see the Salone as an opportunity for actual meeting and discussion, and a chance for us all to share our excitement with a city buzzing with new ideas.”
