January 11th to 13th, 2022. Today, the new men's diktat and trends have started at Pitti Uomo in Florence. The new edition of the International men's wear trade show is ready to show the collections for the next fall winter.

Reflections, the theme of the fair
The new theme of this edition of the fairs serves as the leitmotif of the Fortezza da Basso installations, designed under the creative direction of Angelo Figus, and the creative impulse behind the advertising campaign shot by Narènte, aka the creative duo Lucio Aru and Franco Erre split between Berlin and Sardinia, in a high-impact photographic set. The concept revolves around the idea of duality, of recognizing oneself, one’s own identity as well as other people’s, a contradictory sign that reports reality but is also deceit, illusion, alteration, vanity, narcissism, voyeurism, evasion. With the design layout curated by Alessandro Moradei, Reflections covers the Fortezza da Basso with many reflective surfaces, in various forms, ready to catch the eye and mark different contexts.

Scandinavian Manifesto
Launched in 2018 in collaboration with Revolver Copenhagen Int. Fashion Trade Show, Scandinavian Manifesto celebrates emerging fashion designers and established names from Denmark, Sweden, and Norway. And for the first time, at the next edition of the Revolver fair, Pitti Immagine will present the collections of a selection of Italian menswear brands. Among the names present in Copenhagen: Ant 45, Faliero Sarti, G.R.P., Gallia Knit Project, Id.Eight, Manikomio Dsgn, Noskra, Peppino Peppino Denim, Unimatic, Zermatt.

Menswear Guest Designer
The Italian brand Caruso presents the FW22 collection exclusively in the capital city of Tuscany. The collection was inspired by the eclectic character of jazzman Miles Davis, his music and, in particular, his most famous and revolutionary album, ‘Kind of Blue’ (1959). This spontaneity, mixed with a precious and timeless flavor, is Caruso’s core value. A value that the brand wants to celebrate with a soirée in the spirit of lightheartedness and relaxation, conveying to the guests the vibe of playful elegance that enlivens the collection and Caruso itself.

Futuro Maschile @piano attico/top floor
The new project of Futuro Maschile. On the op floor, the updated journey unfolds through the most evolved contemporary menswear styles. The Top Floor – with a layout that blends design, technology, and entertainment, conceived by Alessandro Moradei together with Archivio Personale, presents a menswear collection developed in a mix & match between classic and sportswear.

KNT
Kiton presents the official launch of KNT, the acronym of Kiton New Textures, which is the urbanwear brand created in Italy by twins Mariano and Walter De Matteis, the third generation of the family. KNT has combined research into fibers, yarns, and processes with a sophisticated and effortless design. The brand reinterpreted the streetwear culture with the essentials of traditional tailoring.

Red September
The brand of male and female clothes founded in 2018 by the designer Olga Vasyukova, presents its FW 22 collection at Pitti for the firs time. The label suggests to view the usual things from a new perspective. Olga works in several areas: design, illustration, production, photo shoots and image collaborations. The designer holds her diploma from Fashion Design at Polimoda. By her first education Olga is a railways engineer, which explains a lot of complex tailored and technological clothes. The designer works with the concept of each collection emphasizing the mix of the old school forgotten aesthetics with the key points of each contemporary art discipline.

Vintage Selection
The news for this edition of Pitti is Vintage Selection, the reference show for vintage clothing, accessories, and design objects. Inside the spaces of the LYCEUM, in Fortezza da Basso, a selection of some of the best Italian vintage fashion operators present their offerings to the visitors arriving in Florence for the Pitti fairs.

Istituto Marangoni
Istituto Marangoni Firenze participates at Pitti Uomo with the roundtable ”The eye is your creative engine". The guests are three big names of the international art scene: Paul Andrew, who will return to Florence after having been at the helm of Salvatore Ferragamo as Creative Director; Sarah Coleman, the New York artist renowned for upcycling luxury accessories, and Andy Picci, the artist behind Instagram's most dreamlike visual art. They have chosen to be involved in an exclusive Mentorship program alongside the students of Istituto Marangoni Firenze for the 2021/2022 academic year.

Pitti Connect
Taking place in conjunction with the physical format of the event, Pitti Immagine once again is presenting a packed program of special projects, exclusive formats and online events on The Billboard in order to continue to maximize the exhibitors’ proposals and initiatives on the global platform of Pitti Connect with style itineraries, exhibitors spotlights, top buyers’ selections and the words of its international community.
