The Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris pays homage to Virgil Abloh, artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton (who passed away in November 2021 at the age of 41), with the “Coming of Age” exhibition. It's an extension of the collective traveling “Coming of Age” exhibition, which was unveiled at the Little Big Man Gallery in Los Angeles in 2019 to then stop in Paris, Beijing, Milan, New York City, Munich, Tokyo and Seoul. The exhibition explores the themes of boyhood and youth through the works of artists. In fact it has alarm allow students, artists and local communities to access to a do-it-yourself copy center to build and create their own zines with their favourite artworks from the exhibition.
The exhibition is open to the public, free of charge, and will be on display from April 13 to 27, and it encourages activities and participation, combining physical events with digital activations. Visitors become participants, alongside artists, photographers, musicians, directors, and animators.
