Smiley supports the next generation of sustainable brands

As ambassador for positivity and a sustainable lifestyle, Smiley, the brand with a smile, which turns 50 this year, takes over the Presidency of the Concours BaByBrand #2022, to support the next generation of sustainable brands that have a real impact on change.

The ninth edition of the Concours BaByBrand Fashion is open to the new generation of sustainable, vintage or upcycled fashion brands under 7 years old, including the founder under 35 years old. Made in Europe + Great Britain, they must, to compete, use a minimum of 75% recycled and regenerative materials. The BaByBrand Food Competition is reserved for sustainable food brands under 7 years old, Made in France and whose founder is under 35 years old.

Registrations opened on Monday, October 3, 2022 on the babybrand.fr website as well as on its Facebook and Instagram pages; to close on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at midnight. The BaByBrand Fashion & Food #2022 Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 7 p.m.

The BaByBrand Trophy, printed in 3D, was designed by Ora ïto. "We choose to print it in 3D to make it a technological object, the most carbon neutral possible," said the designer.

The Jury of 5 professionals and its president offer the winners of the BaByBrand Fashion & BaByBrand Food Competition:

– Smiley, represented by its ceo Nicolas Loufrani offers the two winners of the concours BaByBrand Fashion & BaByBrand Food, an access to the intellectual property license of the Smiley brand with the 12% license fee waived for one year, worth € 50,000; they will be part of the Smiley Family and will participate in the Future Positive Campaign which includes a series of marketing activations, promotions, etc...; the two winning brands will also be offered a Boots at the "Who's Next" Impact Fair in September 2023 sponsored by Smiley's Future Positive.

– Pénélope Blanckaert, expert and consultant in vintage and contemporary fashion, specializing in auctions, offers the two winners 4 hours of consulting, worth € 1,500.

– Charles Andrez, offers his advice as an Investment Banker at Lazard, on the production of the business plan and the implementation of a financial strategy within the framework of the development of the company, for a value of € 5,000.

– Julien Andrez, offers 3 hours of consultation as a Business Lawyer specializing in litigation and business criminal law, Partner at Ayache, worth € 3,000.

– le Cabinet Legabrand and Patricia Bismuth, Industrial Property Attorney specializing in trademark law, offer 8 hours of advice, for a value of € 3,000.

– Gérald Cohen, Founder of BaByBrand & Publicist offers personalized follow-up for 6 months, worth € 37,500.

Two Prizes worth € 100,000 each, in the form of services offered by the members of the jury.

Previous BaByBrand Fashion winners include Constance Boutet, Parme Marin, Atelier Bartavelle, Twins For Peace, Chatelles, Eugène Riconneaus, Luz Collections, Ra+Re, Inès-Olympe Mercadal, Cacatoes Do Brasil, and Noyoco.

Previous BaByBrand Food Winners include Le Chocolat des Français, Maison Crespi, Caviar Ultreïa, Shanty Biscuits, and Tomojo.
