Berlin Showroom was initiated by Projekt Zukunft / Berlin’s Senate Department for Economics, Energy, and Public Enterprises. It is largely financed by the programme ‘Opening up New Markets’ and the EFRE fund. The joint presentation is realised by IDZ Designpartner Berlin GmbH in cooperation with Arne Eberle press+sales and the Regional initiative Projekt Zukunft. This season Berlin Showroom presents at Tranoï the following designers: Ccy Currency, Dennis Chuene, Pugnat, Vladimir Karaleev, W1P Studios.

CCY CURRENCY
Designer: Henriette Zimmermann

CCY Currency is a new knitwear label from Berlin with an experimental approach to yarns and textiles. Placing materials at the forefront of design, the brand’s philosophy is defined by the innovative exploration of textiles, elevating the material from a mere accessory to a central protagonist in each creation. The intrinsic value of the material extends to the production process, where all garments adopt a fully fashioned knit technique, leaving no cutting waste. All fabrics are sustainably sourced or repurposed deadstock, underlining its commitment to craftsmanship and sustainability.

DENNIS CHUENE
Designer: Malesela Dennis Chuene

Founded in 2008 by South African-born designer, Dennis Chuene, seamlessly blends avant-garde aesthetics with Japanese clothing construction techniques enriched by intricate storytelling details. The label is dedicated to crafting exquisite intricacies, employing meticulous hand-sewing elements and cord embroidery to bring their creations to life.

PUGNAT
Designers: Antje Pugnat

PUGNAT knits sustainable luxury. Antje Pugnat is a sculptor working with cashmere. The time and care she invests into each piece is perceptible in its personality, finest quality, and longevity. Each collection evokes the label’s feminine spirit. The Berlin Lable strongly believes in local and fair production, working with experienced hand-knitters and valuing German producers that share ethical and ecological principles.

VLADIMIR KARALEEV
Designer: Vladimir Karaleev

Vladimir Karaleev stands at the forefront of contemporary fashion with a distinct and captivating signature style. Through experimental incision and innovative shapes, the brand artfully crafts collections that combine cutting-edge aesthetics with practical elegance. In both the men’s and women’s lines is the subtle yet brilliant interplay of materials, showcasing a masterful manipulation of contrasts. Karaleev’s collections reflect an understanding of clothing as a conceptual medium while respecting its functional purpose.

W1P STUDIOS
Designers: Anaëlle Delassus, Charlotte Westphal

W1P Studios is a female-founded, slow fashion label from Berlin offering gender-fluid clothing centered around the core values of sustainability, diversity, and inclusion. Materials are carefully selected from deadstock and upcycled textiles. A significant emphasis is placed on knitwear, chosen for its minimal production waste. Each collection by W1P Studios draws inspiration from current societal movements, aiming not only to create stylish and gender-inclusive attire but also to raise awareness for pertinent issues.
