The 25th Seoul Fashion Week, Korea’s largest fashion event, will take place from February 5 to 9 across key locations, including Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Seongsu, Hannam, and Cheongdam.
This year, the event will host the first-ever Fashion Forum, offering chances to network with different fashion industries and learn about innovative strategies. The initiative brings together stakeholders from the Korean fashion business. The trade expo featured 130 brands, 8 presentations, 19 fashion shows, and 300 buyers from both domestic and foreign markets. In order to increase the competitiveness of the K-fashion sector, the city will support the event in a number of ways as a worldwide fashion platform.
Citizens can attend 16 fashion shows at DDP through a ticketed event, with 350 tickets distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Marking its anniversary, Seoul Fashion Week has developed into a global fashion event that exposes the excellence of K-Fashion all over the world and enables leading Korean designers and brands to grow worldwide.
First held in the fall of 2000, Seoul Fashion Week is a global fashion industry event organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Government that links designers with buyers, designers with consumers, and designers with the media by exhibiting collections one season ahead of time. It has been held twice annually in the first and second halves of the year since 2012, for a total of 48 times, with the only exception of the spring of 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic was extremely severe. During Seoul Fashion Week, 2202 runway shows were held by 282 brands.
By increasing chances for interaction with fashion industry professionals, including the sharing of success stories for industry growth, the goal is to contribute to the international expansion of K-fashion brands and designers.
Seoul Fashion Week FW 2025 will include 19 brand fashion shows (18 designer brands and 1 corporate brand), 8 presentations (7 designer brands and 1 institutional collaboration), 130 brands, and 300 domestic and international buyers joining the trade show. The event will begin with the brand Hannah Shin's opening show.
The presentations, expanding into Seongsu, will combine dance, performances, and mini-shows to showcase the unique identity of participating brands.
This season, The Selects, a global fashion showroom organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency (Kocca), will be participating in the show to provide even more rich content. The Selects is a program designed to support Korean fashion designers in expanding their businesses abroad and securing business sales.
The trade show, which gathers major department stores, editorial shops, online shopping malls, showrooms, and specialist investment organizations from Korea and beyond, will feature a total of 130 apparel, miscellaneous goods, and jewelry brands, including those participating in the fashion show. Buyers from both domestic and foreign countries can apply by February 3 (Monday) at the official website of Seoul Fashion Week to attend the trade expo.
A ticketed event for the public to attend the 16 brand fashion shows (excluding off-shows) at DDP will also be held during Seoul Fashion Week. One hour prior to each performance, 350 tickets will be given out on the DDP outdoor plaza on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meanwhile, the official promotional video, which provides a sneak peek of the brands' outfits to be showcased at Seoul Fashion Week, has been released on the Seoul Fashion Week YouTube channel. It will also be available on 175 outdoor billboards around Seoul and at the outdoor display at Coex Artium, starting Tuesday, January 21.
"We will make every effort to support Seoul Fashion Week in various ways as it celebrates its 25th anniversary this year as a global fashion platform that enhances the market competitiveness of individual brands, not just fashion shows," stated deputy mayor for Economy Joo Yong-tae.
