The new edition of Fashion Hub, the meeting place and incubator of innovative projects, presented by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, returns to Milano Fashion Week, held from September 23 to 29, 2025. The project receives support from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the foreign trade agency ICE, which have always provided backing for innovative start-ups and new generations of designers.
The Fashion Hub will be staged at Palazzo Giureconsulti in the heart of Milan. After the opening event, which will be held on Tuesday, September 23, from 1 pm to 3 pm, the Fashion Hub will be open until Sunday, September 28, from 10 am to 7 pm.
The Fashion Hub will host initiatives and activities that aim to promote the new generation of designers, who will be given the chance to meet leading fashion system players in this space. The activities and projects presented leverage CNMI’s fundamental values, including experimentation, innovation, craftsmanship, sustainability, inclusion, and training.
Two of the projects featured in this edition were curated by Sara Sozzani Maino, CNMI International New Talent and Brands Ambassador: Future Threads: Italy’s New Wave and New Gen, New Ethos.
Future Threads: Italy’s New Wave is an exhibition that explores the trailblazing Italian creatives redefining the essence of “Made in Italy.” At each edition, it will present new designers and craftspeople who blend heritage with innovation and responsibility, thus weaving a bold future. From fashion to design to craft, this installation bears witness to Italy’s creative evolution through the eyes of those shaping what comes next. The brands involved in the project are: Durazzi Milano, Federico Cina, Francesco Murano, Institution, Magliano, and Niccolò Pasqualetti.
New Gen, New Ethos is a series of presentations spotlighting a new wave of creators who are redefining values in design, fashion, and culture. Rooted in responsibility, inclusivity, and innovation, this new generation leads with purpose and creates with impact. The brands involved in the project are Cascinelli, Chelsea Jean Lamm, Liwen Liang, Victor Weinsanto, and Afro Fashion Association designers Cute-Saint, Kathiana Saincy Couture, and Zineb Hazim. Their presentations will be held in rotation throughout the week. As part of the New Gen, New Ethos project, the Fashion Hub will present Victor Weinsanto, the designer of the Paris Fashion Week Showroom Sphere. This initiative of the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode is dedicated to the new generation of designers. In the spirit of collaboration and exchange, the Sphere PFW Showroom will host Marco Rambaldi in October. Victor Weinsanto launched his eponymous brand in 2020.
The following projects are also part of the Fashion Hub: Beyond The Visible in collaboration with partner Certilogo and the involvement of Made for a Woman and ViaPiave33; Fashion Beyond: Trends Go Global in collaboration with partner DHL Express and the Milano Fashion Institute (MFI) and Heritage Next: Glowing Milano, promoted by WWD China, which will also organise two talks in the Parlamentino Room: “Sustainable Fashion and Innovative Practices” and “Decoding the Chinese Market: the Global Stage for a New Generation of Designers”.
For the entire week, the Beyond The Visible project, in collaboration with Certilogo, will provide a dynamic and immersive space, inviting the public to look at the “beyond what can be seen” in fashion. Through a selection of items from two new-generation brands - Made For A Woman and ViaPiaveE33, selected for their strong commitment to environmental responsibility, social impact, and creative vision, visitors can see how traceability and authenticity take shape thanks to technology.
Fashion Beyond: Trends Go Global in collaboration with DHL Express is an exclusive selection of five outfits created by young students at the Milano Fashion Institute, the business school of Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, which explores management and administrative aspects of processes in the Italian and international fashion system. The outfits are inspired by the most promising emerging markets for Made in Italy according to DHL: Greater China (China, Hong Kong, Macao), United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Mexico and South Africa.
Heritage Next: Glowing Milano, promoted by WWD China, will bring an intercultural fashion exhibition to the Hub, presented by WWD China, which explores the dialogue between tradition and contemporary design, showcasing 11 looks by designers including: Angel Chen, Ao Yes, Chicjoc, Leaf Xia, Raxxy, Ruohan, Susan Fang, and Ya Yi, together with an iconic garment by Rosalie Huang. The exhibition highlights the fusion of tradition and modernity, East and West, art and technology, through the innovative use of traditional craftsmanship.
