The exhibition celebrates the centenary of the birth of Fabio Mauri (Rome, 1926–2009), philosopher, publisher, artist, and one of the leading figures of the Italian avant-garde, whose work addressed and anticipated social issues that have become urgent today. Starting in the late 1960s, Fabio Mauri produced an important body of work on culture, identity, and ideology, highlighting how, throughout human history, these concepts have often been a source of oppression, either perpetrated or suffered by peoples and individuals. The exhibition highlights the artist's reflections on the theme of oppression in its various forms.
