Orazio Gentileschi. Un pittore in viaggio is the title of the exhibition curated by Annamaria Bava (Royal Museums of Turin) and Gelsomina Spione (University of Turin). The exhibition is dedicated to one of the most important Italian artists of the 17th century, whose extraordinary pictorial quality was rewarded by a lifetime success equal to that of Caravaggio, Rubens, and Van Dyck, and by a consolidated success with patrons, international collectors, and rulers from Charles Emmanuel I of Savoy to Maria de' Medici, Queen of France, Philip IV of Spain, and Charles I of England. This led to his presence at leading artistic centers and the courts of Italy and abroad.
