Le Gallerie d’Italia – Torino presents Jeff Wall. Photographs, curated by David Campany, open to the public from October 9, 2025, to February 1, 2026. Jeff Wall (Vancouver, 1946) is one of the most significant and influential photographic artists working today. For over forty years, he has navigated between spectacular staging and documentary observation, creating images that explore every aspect of contemporary society. At once familiar and unsettling, his works transform everyday situations into strange, dreamlike contexts. Presented at life size, his photographs are among the most celebrated works in contemporary art.

In his pursuit of an art of everyday life, Wall addresses major social and political issues, examining the complex ways they shape our lives. Themes such as nature, war, gender, race, and class permeate his work, which is often as enigmatic as the questions that inspire it. His art draws influence not only from great photographers and painters but also from literature and cinema, particularly Italian neorealism, with its blend of mundane life and drama.
This exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of Wall’s oeuvre, presenting key works from the late 1970s to his most recent pieces, and tracing the multifaceted development of his artistic language.
