Launched in 2012 DINA JSR is a Paris-based womenswear label that offers a seamless transition from elegant daywear to easy-to-wear nightwear.
Intended for working women in urban environments, DINA JSR puts forward a wardrobe for contemporary needs that is both practical and luxurious, always easy to dress up or down.
Created by a former gemologist, it follows a similar earthly sensibility: organic shades, sculptural volumes, a daily, elegant shield that shelters and empowers the woman inside.

Created by a former gemologist, it follows a similar earthly sensibility: organic shades, sculptural volumes, a daily, elegant shield that shelters and empowers the woman inside.
It is a cross between the three cultures : it bears the urban, forward thinking experimentation of London, the artisanal know-how of Parisian atelier practice and the sheer sensuality and luxurious ornamentation of traditional Lebanese sensibility. It effortlessly, flowingly combines those three aspects into modern, refined pieces and timeless elegance.

Dina Jisr was born and raised in Saudi Arabia, and split her early adult years between London, Paris and Lebanon, home to her family.
Fascinated from a young age by natural stones and jewelry, she felt especially inspired by traditional Bedouin and Saudi kaftans– the hand-embroided, richly adorned pieces of clothing seemed like wearable art works. An avid collector of handmade Saudi ornamentation, often made of precious stones, she naturally felt drawn to jewelry design.

An avid collector of handmade Saudi ornamentation, often made of precious stones, she naturally felt drawn to jewelry design.
Dina went on to graduate from prestigious Central Saint Martins (London’s illustrious school also behind the successes of Alexander Mc Queen and John Galliano) in jewelry making as well as in gemology from the Gemology Institute of America. There, she learned to bridge her childhood culture and history with a cutting edge, worldwide vision – something she applied to fashion. She transitioned to the latter seamlessly : it seemed evident to her that clothes could be treated like precious stones, with a sculptural yet holistic vision. Garment appeared to her as an architectural shell that follows a woman throughout the day.
Today, her collections are each based on a different stone, injecting its powers, myths and aesthetic qualities into the clothes.
