Established in 2004 as a new leather brand with the backing of the established Lunan Group, Modalu is a maker of beautifully crafted high end accessories.

Modalu was created by Norwegian born designer Marion Muhonen Nilsen, who has a passion for luxurious yet wearable leather handbags with a strong identity. Marion designs with independent and stylish women in mind, who seek accessories with unique details to complement their chic and sometimes kooky style.

The designer works closely with the Modalu sample maker to source the highest quality leathers from all corners of the globe, including South America and Italy. This thorough approach is applied to all areas of design and production, from the drawing board to the shop floor.
