In February 1962, Francesco Smalto founded the Maison in Paris, based on his expertise as a Master Tailor. Francesco Smalto’s ready-to-wear was praised by the art and entertainment celebrities, he revolutionized the men’s wardrobe and its vocabulary thanks to the first signed and adjusted suit cuts; assertive shoulder lines, “Parisian” notched lapels and hand-stitched finishes which define the SMALTO silhouette, from tennis striped suits to the white tuxedo.
The House of SMALTO has become a Luxury French menswear reference from which the ready-to-wear is the legitimate heir to a rare savoir-faire.
