The history of Kazakhstan Fashion Week started in year 2003, when the team of young promising and hard-working fashion experts, who already had great experience in organizing various fashion projects and luxury events, gathered together in order to transform the obscure notion of local fashion industry into powerful cultural phenomenon that could inspire and set the pace in cultural and social space of Central Asia.
The result was undoubtedly worth the whole venture, as with the launch of Almaty Fashion Week, fashion consciousness and awareness of Kazakhstani residents increased dramatically. At that time, fashion designers and private ateliers with unique aesthetics and great vision of their own started emerging and getting acknowledgement.

Kazakhstan Fashion Week made a great contribution to local designers’ acknowledgement by drawing society’s attention to their work and giving them a unique opportunity to promote the collections on the runway.
In year 2007 name of the event was officially changed to Kazakhstan Fashion Week. At that time, fashion industry in Kazakhstan was rapidly developing. Numerous A-list designers from both Europe and Asia took part in KFW since then, while local and foreign celebrities and fashion industry leaders have became frequent guests of the event.
Today Kazakhstan Fashion Week is considered to be the most significant and anticipated bi-annual fashion event in Central Asia. Each season world’s most recognized designers and fashion professionals come to see established Kazakhstani designers’ latest creations. The event is being covered by glossy magazines, newspapers and TV channels of state and international scale. We have developed strong partner ties with famous brands and large companies that share our values, vision and goals.
Each seasonal session of Kazakhstan Fashion Week is also a great opportunity for both designers and guests to experience the atmosphere of inspiration, hard work and creation. We are committed to what we do and hope that our today’s efforts will take Kazakhstani fashion industry to the world level in the nearest future.
