Within the museum, the space will be dedicated to contemporary ceramic.

Dedicated to contemporary ceramic, a new space will open in spring within the museum of Cité de la céramique. In that space, thematic, monographic or collective exhibitions will provide a diversified overview on researches and questionning of contemporary ceramists.

The space will also provide an opportunity to present the rich collection of la Cité de la céramique.
For the occasion of the first exhibition, the duet of designers Les Sismo have currated an innovative exhibition. They present an exhibition that confronts technical vocabulary and shapes, and mixes daily objects together with prestigious pieces from the collections. Through those confrontations and dialogue, processes and technics of earthenware crafts are revealed.
