The Japanese External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Japan Fashion Product Organization (JFPO) both brought six up and coming Japanese designers to Rendez- Vous Trade Show in New York City, which was held from February 19th to February 21st.

Each season Rendez-Vous NYC welcomes 80 international designers to showcase their collections to top American retailers.

Every year JETRO participates in New York’s Fashion Week and market seasons, bringing top Japanese designers stateside. The collections shown at Rendez- Vous NYC included ANREALAGE, GASBOOK, ISOLDE RICHLY, KLASICA, Rusty Thought and SHIDA TATSUYA. The brands offered a selection of men’s and women’s ready to wear and accessories, made up of fine Japanese fabrics, quality acrylic furs, soft leathers goods, intricate jewelry in addition to creative artist collaborations.

The emerging talent for the Autumn/Winter 2011 season showed promise, attracting editors and buyers to view the innovative designs. JETRO has contributed to a rising interest in Japanese designers, highlighting each sponsored brand individually.
