Florence Müller and Farid Chenoune, awarded for their book, "Yves Saint Laurent", appearing in the Editions de la Martinière.

This year, the Grand Prix du Livre de Mode (a prize for fashion books) was awarded to Florence Müller (fashion historian, commissioner of exhibitions and teacher at the Institut Français de la Mode) and Farid Chenoune (teacher of the history and culture of fashion at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs and at the Institut Français de la Mode) for their book "Yves Saint Laurent" which appeared in the Editions de La Martinière in 2010.

The objective of this prize, initiated by the Université de la Mode à Lyon, is to give the spotlight to authors specialised in fashion who have recently published works which are judged as innovative in their analysis and significant in their domain.

In this book, an unpublished interview with Pierre Bergé, a long illustrated chronology, the modern woman's wardrobe as invented by YSL, as well as portraits of the "Saint Laurent women": Loulou de la Falaise, Lauren Bacall...
