An initiative of the City of Shenzhen ( China) with the Network UNESCO of the creative cities.

The Office of the Promotion of Shenzhen (City UNESCO of design) as well as the creative Cultural center of Shenzhen ( SCCC) invited the designers from 34 cities of the Network of the creative cities (UNESCO) to participate Design Shenzhen Award for young talents which aim at recognizing the success of the young creators of 35 and less years old.

Under the theme " The design as the engine of relaunching of the local economies ", the objective of the Prize is to reward the efforts of the young creators who contributed to the improvement of the quality of the environment, to the local social and economic development, and more particularly to the quality of life in cities.

The Cité du Design (Saint-Etienne) is proud to collaborate in the process of selection of the candidates, as referent chosen by Shenzhen as Saint-Etienne creative city UNESCO of design.
