After much toing and froing, Bread & Butter’s CEO, Karl-Heinz Müller announced during a press conference in Barcelona that the trade show will remain in Berlin for the next edition in January 2015, rather than moving back to Barcelona, as previously suggested.

“Various discussions with decision-makers from the industry made clear to us that people want to stick to the present format, despite the excitement and potential of something new,” Müller told WWD, adding that the “stable German market” would attract most of the exhibitors.

Consequently, the trade show will be held from January 19th to 21st, 2015, at Berlin’s Tempelhof Airport. In addition, Bread & Butter announced plans for the fair’s first edition in Seoul, scheduled for September 2015.

The organizers of Capsule, on their side, decided to cancel the trade show’s upcoming January edition in Berlin, mentioning timing reasons. “New York Men's Market Week has always held the third week of January. I regret the shift of the Berlin events,” Edina Sultanik, Co-Founder of Capsule, told FashionMag, emphasizing that the trade show in Berlin would be held at the same time as events in New York, which would certainly lead to scheduling issues.

That said, Sultanik added that the urban trade show would be back in Berlin in July 2015, and that Capsule’s other editions - New York, Paris and Las Vegas - would be held as usual.
