ITALY / Taormina: Mario Dell’Oglio received the prestigious Tao Award

[red]Mario Dell’Oglio[/red], just re-elected for the next two years as president of Camera Italiana Buyer Moda, received the prestigious [red]Tao Award[/red], the prize reserved for Italian excellences, for the culture of fashion.

The ceremony took place Saturday, July 23 in the wonderful setting of the ancient Greek Theater, at the gala evening of [red]TAOMODA - TAO AWARDS[/red], at the end of the week dedicated to fashion that Taormina celebrated every year and that has come to his third edition.

«It’s an award that I receive with great honor and pride for me and it’s an accountability commitment to vouchsafe, through my institutional role, the culture of fashion. Today more than ever in Italy we have to work together because fashion returns to be an important voice of our cultural heritage, the greatest expression of our creativity and great resorted knowledge with a value and an edge on the rest of the world that we should be able to protect, but above all to take advantage in an innovative and competitive manner.» said Dell’Oglio.

The [red]Tao Award[/red] is the award given by the TaoModa committee, the festival organized by Talenti & Dintorni Association under the artistic direction of the journalist Agata Patrizia Sacconesi in the beautiful town of Taormina.

The event, sponsored by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana in synergy with Camera Italiana Buyer Moda, White and Russian Buyers Union, was opened on July 16 with the presentation of the book by Mario Dell’Oglio "The Gentleman without a hat. One anarchist perspective on masculine elegance" published by Leima.
