The Community : Offline opens its doors in the heart of the Château d’Eau neighbourhood in Paris with the exhibition “Being-in-the-World”. The history of this used-to-be barbershop can still be read on the walls, which offer their surface now for the works of artists and designers with different ways of expressing the contemporary being-in-the-world: visual arts, fashion, design and publications.

The Community was born from a shared desire to encourage dialogue between creatives from different disciplines by proposing them a multidisciplinary platform to exchange. It offers an alternative to conventional gallery and industry practices through a collaborative approach to exhibiting art. In addition to their future event programming, The Community : Online will be gradually launched to mirror the physical space as an all-inclusive digital platform, to further explore different ways of collaboration.

BEING-IN-THE-WORLD is on view through November 26th, 2016.
