We still have a long way to go, before we reach a level of wisdom and civilization that does not involve any form of violence. Perhaps it is utopian to think so, but not impossible.

This is why Modern Films and Kering Foundation have launched a initiative from the day dedicated to the International Day against violence on women, November 25th.
A film a day, for 16 days until December 10, when in 1948 the Declaration of Human Rights was proclaimed by the UN Assembly.

For 16 days, 16 short films will be offered via web, focused on Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, to raise awareness and report all forms of abuse, whether physical or psychological.
The direction is headed by female filmmakers, accompanied by campaigns to counter and stop all forms of violence against women.

The initiative is presented by Modern Films and the Kering Foundation, sided against all forms of discrimination and violence, with the UK Says No More alongside En Avant Toute, Chayn Italia, The National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV), and Fondo Semillas.

The jury will award the most significant short films on various perspectives, against domestic discrimination, work, etc.
Among the names of the jury, Anna Friel, Gary Barker, Ashley Judd, Barbara Broccoli, Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor, Sarah Gavron, and Terry White, CEO of Empire Magazine.

NB : it is an annual campaign, which has run since 1991 and has 164 countries and 3,700 organizations involved.
