The first digital edition of the Fashion Film Festival Milano has been very successful, in its seventh edition, which has just ended.

Founded and directed by Constanza Cavalli Etro, Fashion Film Festival Milano is an international event, or rather it could be defined as a platform, in which designers, directors, and creative talents compete, presenting short films from over 60 countries around the world.

The seventh edition, totally free and online, was held on January 13 to 18 during the Milan Men’s Fashion Week on three platforms simultaneously: fashionfilmfestivalmilano.cameramoda.it, MyMovies.it and fffmilano.com, partner of the event, before registration.
For this ambitious project, it made use of a very important partnership with the Italian Fashion Council.

There were 200 films out of over 1000 received, competing among the 16 Categories: Best Music, Best Editing, Best Production, Best Styling, Best Cinematography, Best Documentary, Best Experimental Fashion Film, Best New Designer/Brand, Best New Italian Designer/Brand, Best New Director, Best New Italian Fashion Film, Best New Italian Designer/Brand Best New Fashion Film, Best Director, Best Italian Fashion Film, Best Fashion Film, and Best Green Fashion Film.

Among these, the video directed by Matteo Garrone for Christian Dior Couture stands out and won the "Best Fashion Film" award with the short film "Le Mythe Dior".
The video flows between timeless Arcadian atmospheres and Pre-Raphaelite Graces. Two lackeys carry a mysterious trunk by hand, which reveals itself to be a magical world of wonders: inside it, miniature models of clothes from the Christian Dior Couture collection are suggested to fantastic mythological creatures, among which Narcissus, Daphne, and sirens are recognizable. Each myth chooses its dress, yielding to a small mortal temptation, which thus necessarily becomes immortal, together with them.

And again, the video by Zhongjin Zhang for the FishSkinLab brand, got a nominee for the "Best Green Fashion Film" award, is remarkable.
The film's focus is primarily to identify the historical, cultural, environmental, and socio-economic importance of fish skin as an innovative sustainable material. It proposes a vision of fashion sustainability as an anthropological study of the resourcefulness and resilience of the Arctic indigenous peoples, their lifestyles, and fish skin practices.

Gucci presented "Gucci x Ssense", directed by Matt Lambert and got a nominee for the "Best Styling” category, whose winner is “Drag Syndrome, by Jess Kohl”.

A very important role was played by the voting public from over 58 countries, which he promoted for the category "People's Choice Digital Awards" "FUR", created by the young Russian director Masha Butorina.
