Fortunately, humans recognize more and more how important it is to protect the world and to live and think more sustainably.

Dubai Expo’s Sustainability District, offers a window to ground-breaking technologies that already exist around the world. As well as what individual countries are doing to move towards sustainability. The District offers options to get to know how to live in harmony with nature in the future. There are different areas and stations, connected to that. The district is divided into three parts: “Sustainable surroundings“, “determine our planet’s future“ and the “District stage“. Among other experiences, the Sustainability District provides the public with walking through a waterfall, entering a rainforest, watering the desert, wearing cutting-edge devices and entering a miniature world.

The Sustainability Pavilion is an intelligent strategy for future sustainable living. Drawing inspiration from complex natural processes, the dynamic form of the Pavilion is capturing energy from sunlight and freshwater from humid air. The relationship of building to the site and its physical and cultural contexts is critical, as the facility demonstrates a new way of living sustainably in a challenging desert environment. Soaring over the courtyard, the Pavilion’s canopy accommodates more than 6,000 sqm of ultra-efficient mono-crystalline photovoltaic cells embedded in glass panels.
