After four digital events, 080 Barcelona Fashion is back onsite to coincide with the 30th edition, which takes place from 25 to 28 October at the Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. Circular fashion and technological innovation are the driving forces behind this year's edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion.

The commitment to sustainability is present both through the brands, which show sustainable proposals, and outside the fashion shows during parallel activities. Circular fashion is this year's main new feature. In this sense, the CCAM, the Waste Agency of Catalonia and the collaborative innovation space of Girbau LAB, a company that provides complete, sustainable and innovative solutions for fabric treatment, are promoting the 080 Reborn, a fashion show of reused clothing with the aim of raising awareness about circularity and promoting its use. The fashion show, created by the stylists Fermin + Gilles, features second-hand clothes from collaborating shops, such as Humana, Solidança, Formació i Treball, Pink Flamingo, Le Swing or Las Pepitas, among many others. This action is part of the Circular Fashion Pact, an initiative that promotes a voluntary agreement to transform the textile industry towards a circular model by increasing the durability of products and the percentage of recycled material incorporated into fabrics, reducing and eliminating the use of harmful materials, increasing reuse with the implementation of new business models and implementing cleaner and more efficient production strategies.

Aside from sustainability, 080 Barcelona Fashion is tantamount to innovation and creativity, which is why it is a platform in constant transformation. Innovation in technology is another of the characteristic pillars of the 30th edition, with experiences ranging from physical to virtual ones and vice versa. The LR3 Louis Rubi brand presents its new collection as a world premiere in a format that changes the way fashion shows and beauty itself are understood. Likewise, this innovative experience is a leap forward for the promotion of the fashion industry as a whole.

080 Barcelona Fashion features a total of 23 fashion shows, including 080 Reborn. The line-up, made up of 23 designers and brands, includes: All That She Loves, Amlul, Avellaneda, Custo Barcelona, Dominnico, Eiko ai, Eñaut, Escorpion, Guillermina Baeza, Habey Club, Is Coming, Larhha, Lebor Gabala, Lola Casademunt by Maite, LR3 Louis Rubi, Martín Across, Menchen Tomas, Reveligion, Simorra, The label Edition, Tíscar Espadas, Txell Miras and Yolancris.

On 28 October, in addition to 080 Reborn, Texmeeting by Texfor 2022 will take place. The textile industry is immersed in a new transformation process. The current context requires efforts to reduce waste and the search for new production systems that are more environmentally friendly, but which, at the same time, allow it to maintain its competitive capacity on national and international markets. In this sense, Texmeeting by Texfor 2022, organised by the Textile Industry Confederation (Texfor), aims to explore this prospect offered by the recovery of used fibres. It does so through the eyes of industrialists and the innovative efforts to produce based on recycled fibres and bio-based raw materials. It also listens to the point of view and strategy of those who consume this recycled material, such as fashion retailers, the technical fabric consumer industry, such as car manufacturers, etc.
