In line with the national Métiers d’Arts strategy presented by the French Ministries of the Economy and Culture, Lvmh-the luxury conglomerate owned by Bernard Arnault, is consolidating its actions in favor of Métiers d’Excellence.
On the occasion of the third edition of Show Me Paris, the Lvmh group project highlighting the commitments of the group and its Maisons and schools to the intergenerational transmission of skilled trades, Lvmh unveils the launch of the construction of the Maison des Métiers d’Excellence in Paris, a space entirely dedicated to the artisan tradition. The venue will be both a showcase for the expertise of the Lvmh group’s Maisons to the public, and a space for training, exchange and creativity for its talents.
Due to open in Paris at the end of 2025, this site will showcase the expertise of the Group’s Maisons, as well as provide a space for training, exchange, and creativity for its in-house talents. It will also have a café, a meeting space, a library, and hands-on craft workshops for the general public.
With 69 initial training programs and 288 continuing education programs around the world, Lvmh Métiers d’Excellence spearheads the transmission of know-how, from secondary school onwards and throughout life.
“We were pioneers in the recognition of skilled trades with the creation of the Institut Métiers d’Excellence nearly 10 years ago. Today, our Métiers d’Excellence program makes us one of the world’s leading know-how transmission ecosystems. So we needed a physical location to match this ambition. Lvmh remains a place of permanent learning, and we are working to build career paths throughout our employees’ professional lives,” said Chantal Gaemperle, director of Human Resources & Synergies, Lvmh.
Spanning 2,300 square meters, the location will be open to the public as well as provide a physical home for Lvmh's Institut des Métiers d'Excellence, offering an array of immersive training sessions and hands-on workshop.
