Le Stanze della Fotografia Foundation is currently presenting in Venice the exhibition “Robert Mapplethorpe. Le forme del classico”, a refined exploration of the artist’s dialogue with antiquity and his visionary engagement with themes of desire, identity, and gender. The show presents over 200 works that blend classical ideals with contemporary photography, from early collages to portraits of Patti Smith, Andy Warhol, and Susan Sontag.
