| The Nordic region’s leading fair for contemporary art. An exclusive meeting place for the Nordic art scene at the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm. For the eighth year in a row, Market will gather the leading Nordic galleries and artists and present a wide selection from the contemporary art world. Galleries from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Iceland are participating. MARKET took place for the first time in February 2006 at the initiative of a group of gallerists looking to create a high-quality fair in central Stockholm. Since the summer of 2007, the organisation of the fair has been managed by Konstmässan Market i Stockholm AB, owned by a group of Nordic gallerists on a non-profit basis. The fair highlights Swedish and Nordic galleries who show a wide selection of the most exciting international contemporary art. There has been tremendous interest in MARKET and the fair has been very well received by gallerists, collectors, visitors and the press alike.
