Xavier Veilhan - Superflou

Xavier Veilhan's Superflou exhibition at the Galerie de Sèvres is the culmination of half a decade's work between the artist and the Manufacture de Sèvres. Brought out of the kilns, the Monuments figures, seven table centrepieces in wood and bisque, and Manfredi, a sculpture in ronde-bosse in five different shades of stoneware, investigate what the artist has loved for many years: indefiniteness. Primarily that of the image, the blurring of form and the boundary between art and the decorative arts.

Weavers since 1752, the Prelle Manufacture is the last family-owned company to weave silk fabrics. Pluridisciplinary collective, Uchronia creates places of experiences full of modernity that allows for boundless creativity. Prelle aims at carrying on its craft of excellence and its expertise through modern means, Prelle maintains traditional techniques that know no equivalence in the current world thanks to 19th century Jacquard looms, and uses the latest Dornier weaving looms without ever sacrificing the quality or the beauty of the fabrics it weaves. Uchronia has started its own furniture line, Univers Uchronia, comprising a series of extravagant pieces with round and colourful shapes. This collection is not only uncommon in its aesthetics, but it also has the wish to highlight French know-how and artisanat.
