On the occasion of Milano Fashion Week, Triennale Milano presents two evenings of screenings and conversation dedicated to the American photographer and director Bruce Weber. The first appointment is dedicated to a documentary (2021) on the life and career of the photographer Paolo Di Paolo, which Weber made after coming across a photo he took of Pier Paolo Pasolini, in a gallery in Rome. Born in 1925, Di Paolo pursued an intense career as a photojournalist in the 1950s and ’60s, portraying movie and cultural icons of the period, from Anna Magnani to Grace Kelly, Ezra Pound, Pier Paolo Pasolini, Giuseppe Ungaretti and Giorgio de Chirico.

The screening is preceded by an introduction by Carla Morogallo, Director general of Triennale Milano, and a conversation with Bruce Weber, Silvia Di Paolo, daughter of Paolo Di Paolo, Luca Stoppini, scientific advisor to the fashion department of Triennale Milano, and Angelo Flaccavento, journalist and fashion critic.
