"The Hands of Fashion" follows the journey of Inès Céline, model and fashion journalism student, through the most hidden Italy, where the secrets of luxury craftsmanship are born. Each stage of the journey takes Inès inside the historic ateliers and laboratories where expert hands create high fashion masterpieces, weaving together history, tradition and innovation. Inès not only observes the manufacturing processes, but meets the people who, with their passion and dedication, have made the Made in Italy brand famous throughout the world. This docufilm, produced by Gruppo Florence in collaboration with the Central Saint Martins School - University of the Arts of London, was born from an idea by Raffaella Scimeca and Roger Tredre. Fashion Zoo “China Darlings” is a major exhibition of independent Chinese designers taking place in Milan. As an important part of the Fashion Hub program on the official calendar of Milano Fashion Week, FAshion Zoo “China Darlings” showcases the works of 12 young Chinese designers and artists. From internationally renowned Feng Chen Wang, Caroline Hu, and Louis Shengtao Chen to the fresh faces such as Liwen Liang and Ruiyu Zheng, the exhibition adds a unique touch of Eastern charm and a new perspective on Chinese fashion to Milano Fashion Week.

At the Fashion Zoo “China Darlings” exhibition, Fashion Zoo brings together 12 young Chinese designers and artists, breaking through traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage and Eastern aesthetics. In an avant-garde and diverse manner, they collectively construct a new imagination of the Eastern worldview.

Milano Moda Graduate, the best of Italian Fashion Schools
Designed for students at the main fashion schools in Italy, the project launched in 2015 is back again thanks to ongoing support from Main Partner Ykk Italy. 17 students will show their collections before an international panel of industry experts who will be able to form a hands- on opinion of the progress made and goals achieved by these young designers. The selected students will come from eight different Italian fashion schools.

The finalists in this edition of Milano Moda Graduate were chosen by Cnmi with aid from a technical jury.
The jury selected the following seven finalists in the fashion design category who were invited to produce a 5-piece collection: Adele Rasini (Istituto Modartech), Alessio Mussati (Accademia Costume & Moda), Edoardo Vedelago (Ied - Istituto Europeo di Design), Marica Bove (Naba, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti), Matteo Febbraro (Università IUAV, Venice), Nicole Ioana Babici (Istituto Marangoni) and Tommaso La Scala (Accademia Costume & Moda).

In this edition too, there will be a section reserved exclusively for Ykk Italy, Milano Moda Graduate’s Main Partner. This will enable a selection of 10 designers from Italian fashion schools to create an outfit dedicated entirely to fastening accessories. The finalists in the Ykk category are Andrea Cella (Ied - Istituto Europeo di Design), Giulia Simonetti (Iuad Accademia della Moda), Lorenzo Pricco (Università Iuav, Venice), Marco Servedio (Ied - Istituto Europeo di Design), Max Putrino (Istituto Marangoni), Michael Di Giovanni (Accademia Costume & Moda), Renato Caggiano (Istituto Marangoni), Sebastiano Ratti (Istituto Modartech), Tobia Setten (Accademia Costume & Moda) and Yoana Dimitrova (Domus Academy).

The day begins with a Coffee & Conversation session featuring Bruce and Glen Proctor, the twin designers behind BruceGlen, alongside Teneshia Carr, Owner and Editor In Chief of Blanc Magazine.
