Founded in 2017, Nemozena was first conceived as a marriage of Arabic tradition and classic Italian style. The word ‘Nemozena’ can be broken down into two words. Nemo, derived from Latin meaning Nobody, and Zena, derived from the Greek word for Living. The original Greek word could be translated as ‘belonging or sacred to Zeus’, the ancient Greek God of Olympus. And from that single colour that embodied those two concepts, the sacred living and the unknown, emerged Nemozena.

Susan Fang launched her eponymous label in 2017 following her graduation from Central Saint Martins. Her collections combine innovative textiles, colours, and silhouettes to create garments and accessories with artistic originality.The brand focuses on innovation in textiles and developing sustainable practices within design and production, focusing on craftsmanship and artisanal making. Susan has been consistently recognised by industry professionals and was selected for Forbes 30 Under 30 2019 and 2020. She was also shortlisted for the LVMH Prize in 2019.

Valentine Witmeur Lab is a Belgian knitwear brand, launched in 2016, and offering a range of sweaters and accessories based on precious Italian yarns. Besides representing the brand’s DNA and image, Valentine also wanted the collec tion to be comfortable, chic and cool. "To build up new aesthetic, old aesthetic must first be broke. The most direct method is by trial and error. I use different concepts of art to impact the old aesthetic standard in the fashion industry. In these impacts I found new ways to perform fashion, for example, c hanging and limiting dance moves by clothes. This is to challenge the accepted aesthetic dancing, and at the same time, challenge the accepted aesthetic on the catwalk bridge. Another example would be using “Fat is Fashion” as a topic, by designing an installation art in a gallery, I challenged the traditional aesthetic by making visitors wear an inflatable cloths. In the future I will continue to explore different means to present my view of fashion. Film and sculpture would be my future directions." By Yeung Chin.
