Événement hybride entre exposition, vente de créateurs et salon professionnel, Les Nouveaux Créateurs présentera chaque année les espoirs de la mode et du design. Véritable tremplin professionnel et médiatique, il a pour missions de soutenir la jeune création et de valoriser les arts appliqués et les métiers d’art.
Il a également pour objectif de faire découvrir au grand public, aux professionnels et aux médias la quintessence de la création émergente. Majors de promotion, créateurs innovants, lauréats de prix pour la jeune création et toutes nouvelles marques seront exposés du 21 au 24 septembre 2017 dans un ancien entrepôt industriel au cœur de Paris, dans le quartier du Marais.
La première journée sera réservée aux professionnels et aux médias. Les trois jours suivants seront ouverts au grand public. La programmation sera enrichie d’un défilé, d’un cycle de conférences et de workshops.

The opening of Swedish Fashion Now will take place during the eve of Wednesday 27th September in the garden of the Institut Suédois located in the Marais district, alongside the release of the A/W 2017 issue of Bon Magazine. Participating brands and designers include ATP Atelier, BACK, Cornelia Webb, Diana Orving, House of Dagmar, HOPE, Little Liffner and Sun Buddies by Très Bien. The evening celebrates Swedish fashion design with an exclusive performance by designer Diana Orving, the VR installation - Virtual Project by HAAL and a presentation by selected current and alumni students of Beckmans College of Design, to the sounds of DJ Sundae.

The night continues at neighboring La Perle at 78 Rue Vielle du Temple.

An exhibition of photographs by Janette Beckman

Cult boot brand Fiorentini + Baker has commissioned legendary photographer and friend of the brand Janette Beckman to capture some of the interesting and talented people who wear Fiorentini + Baker boots - including artists, musicians, scientists and writers. Kicking off in New York and featuring portraits of female DJ sensation Misbehaviour and legendary blues artist King, who are in good company with fellow creatives….. This project will be ongoing and evolving with different cities providing the creative backdrop for these free-thinking individuals. The images will be used to portray the Fiorentini + Baker ethos as a quality brand which supports and encourages individuality and creativity.

'The thinking behind this project is to show Fiorentini + Baker boots worn by artists, musicians and creatives in their own style and everyday lives.’ Explains Beckman. ' It is exciting to work with designer Deborah Baker, her vision is unique, I am huge fan of her footwear.’

With its first fashion collection SS18 - SAD GIRLS, SPLEEN FACTORY - the creative team behind the eponymous melancholy themed magazine - chooses a new medium to deliver its romantic message.

Designed for all genders, here mainly worn by men, the 6 looks collection tells another story of Phaedra, Eurydice and Antigone. Abandoned to themselves, the original sad girls here express contemporary solitude and leave their thrones to bring their drama to the city streets.
