kk: katrina is somewhat of a denim expert. she began her career at j brand as its first employee, developing and creating what has become one of the most relevant denim brands in the marketplace. from j brand, she moved onto rag & bone as the first denim designer (yep!). there she helped launch and build its denim category, which soon became the cornerstone of the brand’s business. katrina has applied her knowledge and expertise of fit and comfort to askk ny.

kujten is the expression of carole benaroya and stéphanie eriksson’s long-standing friendship, one that started when they were teens. throughout their years in middle and secondary school, carole and stéphanie discovered they were both passionate about fashion. from her financial background, carole felt the urge to add some passion to her professional life in 2012, and immediately turned to her friend stéphanie. attentive to details and to the world’s beauty, stéphanie is steeped in the fashion industry. she draws her expertise in knitwear and cashmere from working in joseph’s parisian styling department, an english fashion house that is renowned for its knitwear. kujten arose from their love for an exceptional material: cashmere. their ambition to start their own cashmere brand was confirmed following a first trip to mongolia, where they fell in love with the blue-sky country.

Amanda Thomas is the founder and designer for Luv Aj. She started her brand when she was 14 years old when her after-school hobby of jewellery-making turned into a business by her senior year of high school. An internship with a local designer inspired her to work on her own creations, and after a chance encounter with a buyer at Fred Segal, they picked up her entire collection for their stores. And from there, Luv Aj was created!
