Maria Calderara founded her eponymous brand in Venice in 1983, where the jewelry workshop continues to be based. Combining her passion for art with her training in architecture, she creates clothing and jewelry lines with rigorous, conceptual cuts. Her timeless work is characterized by a continuous search for forms and materials, even seemingly impossible ones, where innovative technologies blend with handmade craftsmanship in Venice.

High Five Showroom
25 Howard St. 2nd floor NY 10013 New York
Souk Eye Sneakers is a complex take and a piece of “poorly viewed” footwear, as the designer calls it, since it is created by cutting iconic sneakers and reassembling them in an apparently casual manner. The result is an innovative assembly technique that uses two different footwear models cut in half, realised with master craftsmanship and materials of the highest level.
